Privacy statement

1. Who I am

Totaalonderhoud Benders, based in Apeldoorn, is responsible for the processing of personal data described in this statement.

2. What data I process

This website has no visitor login. I only process data you give me yourself, through the quote form or by calling, messaging or emailing me:

• Your name, phone number and, if you fill it in, your email address
• The town where the job is
• Whatever you tell me about the job, including photos you send

3. What I use it for

Only to answer your question, prepare a quote, carry out the job and invoice it. I do not send a newsletter and I do not use your data for advertising.

4. What happens to a request sent through the form

If you fill in the quote form, that request reaches three places: my inbox, an overview where I keep track of incoming requests, and Tielo Digital, the agency that builds and maintains this website. That last one is needed to check that the form keeps working and that requests do not quietly disappear.

No request reaches any other party, and none of it is used for advertising.

5. Visitor statistics and cookies

This website measures visits with PostHog, whose servers are in the European Union. It shows me how many people view which page and where they come from. I do not see names or addresses, and no data is sold or shared for advertising.

On your first visit I ask whether that may involve cookies:

• Accept. PostHog places a cookie on your device. If you come back later you count as the same visitor rather than a new one. That cookie sits on my own domain and goes nowhere else.
• Only necessary. No measurement cookies, and you are not recognised between visits. The visit still counts, through a daily encrypted code that cannot be traced back to you.

If you make no choice, after twelve seconds I treat that as a no: your visit then counts anonymously. What your browser remembers either way is your choice itself, because without it I would have to ask you again on every page. At the bottom of every page there is “Change cookie choice”. Beyond that this site uses no cookies: there are no advertising or social media scripts in it.

6. Sharing with others

I do not sell your data and only share it where it is needed to carry out the job or where the law requires it, for example with my bookkeeping. The website runs on Netlify, the notification email goes through Resend and requests land in a Google spreadsheet. Those parties process data on my instructions and may not use it for anything else.

7. How long I keep it

Quotes, invoices and the associated data I keep for seven years, as the Dutch tax authority requires. Requests that do not lead to a job I delete as soon as they are no longer needed.

8. Photos of completed work

My portfolio shows photos of jobs. There are no people in them and I never name more than the town, never an address. Would you rather a photo of your job were not online? Let me know and I will take it down.

9. Your rights

You may view, correct or delete your data, and you may object to the processing. Send an email to info@totaalonderhoud-benders.com and I will take care of it. If we cannot resolve it together, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

10. Security

The website runs entirely over https and I take appropriate measures against misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Think something is not right? Email me and I will look into it straight away.
